Humanity is a species that does not take well to criticism, or being told that we are doing something wrong, or simply that we are behaving like spoiled children! Our egos are bruised very easily, we are insulted in a blink of an eye, and we simply dismiss such criticisms, as plain old-fashioned rhetoric!
We hate it when we are told what to do, how to do it, and especially hate being told that we are going about life, in all the wrong ways!
Our CHRIST, in so many occasions, explained his point, within a very detailed oriented “PARABEL”, and why did he do such a thing, seeing that most find it even more confusing, than just getting to the point!
It is a very unique and special way of describing the act of a particular “sin” at that moment in time, creating an ambiance that linked no name, no person, and no-one to that parable, and gave our CHRIST an advantage. That advantage was to tell the entire story, while captivating the attention of the audience, without bringing up any names, but rather, creating a scene that every person in the room, COULD THEN VISUALIZE PERSONALLY, INSERTING THEMSELVES, AFTER THE FACT, INTO THE DESCRIPTION OF THE PARABEL!
OUR SUBCONSCIENCE IS A VERY POWEFUL TOOL FOR OUR EXISTANCE!
Then, we are better apt at seeing ourselves within the act of the sin, without having been singled out, or being condemned for that sin!
It does not remove any of the severity of the act of that sin, or the severity of the disobedience to our GOD, but it is , in a way, a sugar-coated way of saying:
“WAKE – UP, AND REPENT”!
